My name is Matt Everett... my father and I attended one of your meetings at Big Bend and 141 a few years ago in a 72 MGB. I'm moving and that MGB needs to find a good home. It's not drivable at the moment (ignition switch broken) and I haven't started it for a couple of years, but it grew up in Meridian, MS so the body is still sound and has never seen salt. Chrome bumpers, new top, original tonneau, wire wheels, luggage rack, sun-faded original paint job. It was state inspected (not antique) 3 years ago and passed just fine. I believe one of the club members who owns a garage near Fee Fee and Olive roads did the inspection. All the work I did on it was with parts from Moss and Victoria British. If you can forward this email out to anyone in the club who might be interested in taking a look, I would really appreciate it. I'm being transferred to Seattle, WA, and I just can't justify taking it with me. I hate to see it go, but I'd feel much better about it if I knew it was going to someone who would appreciate it. Any interested parties can contact me here or at 314-324-3050. Thanks in advance! -Matt Everett 314-324-3050

I have a huge amount of 75-80 MGB parts I would like to get rid of cheap to a good home. I do not want to sell them seperately. I want to sell them all. I will sell them all for the price the scrap man will pay which is $600. But, I must get them out of my auto shop lot and storage sheds soon - like now. It would take 2 17' trailers (or 2 trips) to move it all. I have engines, transmissions, bodys, glass, interior and exterior parts. There is enough here to assemble 1 whole car and have parts left over. All you would need is an interior kit. The main feature of this is - An engine that was rebuilt to the pre- 75, 96+HP specs complete with new cams, pistons, etc. and a high performance clutch. I built this car for my 17 year old daughter and she hit a tree in it with less than 10k on the motor. The car has been sitting outside for 15 years - motor covered and interior stripped out. Engine can be turned over by hand so it is not siezed up. Of course dual carbs are varnished up but could be rebuilt. I am confident the engine will run perfectly again as I started it after the wreck many times - just not in the last 10 years. If your members are interested in saving all these valuable parts from the scrap man you must contact me ASAP. - its spring cleanup time, I'm sick of looking at it, scrap prices are up and the city will be after me next.

I have a 1973 MG midget that has been garaged since 1979, I would like to sell, it does need some work. The engine and trans are in good condition, the clutch was change shortly before parking it. It also has new kingpins and bushing and some new chrome pieces that were never installed. The car was stripped of bumpers lights and chrome to paint but was never completed. Most all parts are still there. If someone from your club would be interested I will make them a deal on it. I’m not sure of the mileage but it is pretty low.

My father bought this car on 9-2-1984 from Richard Ricketts from Omaha. He is part of the Ricketts familly who owns TD Ameritrade and just bought the Chicago Cubs. The car had 90,168 miles on it in 1984. It has 94776 on it now. It has not even had a liittle old lady driving it to church every Sunday. It has been driven in some parades and shows, but as you can see not even 200 a year. We do start it periodically, drive it and have it serviced. I can not tell you anything about it before when Ricketts owned it, but it was in excellant shape then, and it is not a restoration. It is in excellant orignial condition. This is a hard one to find. Everthing runs and works well. I owned a MGB in college in 1974, so I know a little about the MG's. The car is a 1600. It is not a Mark II. It does have the original 1600 cast iron block engine. There is a plate riveted to the back of the block with the letters 18GA-U-H 16222. The vehicle ID number is GHNL 92716. I can send more pictures of everything and would be happy to provide you with any other information you might need. My father will be 80 next month and has given me the car to sell. I am the State Farm Insurance agent here in Lexington, Nebraska located on I-80. Three hours west of Omaha, 4.5 hours east of Denver, 5 from KC. The only reason I have to sell is i have pinched nerve in back and can't ride or drive it any longer. This description is as honest as I can be. The description of the motor is the one from my brother in law from whom I purchased the car. I have no clue what engine is what so I take it on faith it is true also. MGB 1979 Purple-- body in fair shape. Who ever did the paint job really did not do a great job of body work but it still cute. V-6 4.3 Chevy Motor with a Edel Brock manifold and 4 barrel Carb. 350/3 speed trubo automatic transmission. Coupled to a 871/2 ton Ford Truck rear end. (Sorry I have no idea what that means, other than the car sounds good when running) It needs new top. I have 2 leather thingys that cover the seat area. Wiring seems to be okay most of the time. Every once in a while the horn or blinkers will not operate. The car has not been started for several months due to my illness. It ran great last year. It has a Great SONY radio that removes for some reason. Love the sounds that it produces. (You can tell, I am not a techt huh?) I am asking $3000. I am located close to Sullivan Missouri. 636-388-1422 is my cell phone number.

I have had this car for over 20 years and was in the process of getting it back on the road with my son about a year ago but he lost interest and so did I. I have replaced and Never Used the following parts: Metal Gas Tank, Mb/stainless brake lines, Rear Brake Cylinders and pads front brake calipers were rebuilt, A new Brake Master Cylinder has yet to be installed. The floor boards were replaced about 20 years ago and the vehicle has sat idle inside a garage since then accept for a few occasions when I started the vehicle and ran it around the block a few times to keep it lubed. The interior is a mess and so is the exterior. I need to sell the vehicle and will take the best offer. I would like to at least get the value of the new unused parts out of it. The car has painted wire spoked wheels and the rear split bumper is a limited production feature.

1976 MG Midget - The car is probably more of a parts vehicle but I am not a mechanic and only have the car because I did not want it to keep wasting away. My partner had it for about 20 yrs and it was not stored well. There is some major rust and the engine has not been started in that time. It was running when he parked it last and a lot of things are fine on it. I only want about $ for it 500.00 but will listen to any offer UPDATE Take it away for $200! 1. The title was left in the glove box for yrs. but is in my partners name so could be transfered after getting a new one issued. Just pieces of it left. 2. Dash is in good shape (no tears or discoloration),Steering wheel has some rust on the metal part but started cleaning it and looks like it would be alright. Interior panels are good , have taken some off to to get a look at what was behind them. Carpet was trashed so took that out. No rag top but frame is good. Windshield good, light scratch where some one ran wipers without rubber. 3. The pictures should show the good and bad of most of the body. Major rust around floor pans ,driver side front fender dented pretty bad.....took it off. Luggage rack is all there but to part off in cleaning. Side mirrors, etc good shape. 4. I know the car has lots of good parts on it..not sure if it is just a parts car or someone would restore it. All I know is that I need to get it out of my driveway.
